LABORATORY PROCEDURES FOR MICROORGANISMS

TITLE: INTRODUCTION AND GENERAL DOCUMENTS


Five resource centres have made their catalogues available via the CABRI server namely, in alphabetical order:

  • BCCM-IHEM (fungi)
  • BCCM-LMG (bacteria)
  • BCCM-MUCL (fungi)
  • CBS (yeasts and fungi)
  • DSMZ (bacteria, archea, yeasts, fungi)

The laboratory procedures described in these guidelines were derived from the procedures used by these centres. These standards fulfill the requirements of the generally accepted "Guidelines for the Establishment and Operation of Collections of Cultures of Microorganisms" published by the World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC) in 1999 (M/1999/1.00 Appendix 1)

Each part of the guidelines consists of:

  • Flow diagram outlining processes, with cross references to procedures
  • List of laboratory procedures
  • Additional documents, bibliographic references, forms

 

Procedure Referencing is made according the following:
